Le Fonds Let’s Bond

What is the Le Fonds Let’s Bond?

Let’s Bond has established the Fonds Let’s Bond, which aims to finance projects across Quebec to increase its impact in raising awareness for mental health. With a focus on concrete action, the Fonds seeks to allocate resources to organizations working directly in the field, thereby supporting the implementation of tangible initiatives and the creation of measurable impact.

This proactive approach reflects our deep commitment to mental health. We strive to support a variety of initiatives, ranging from awareness campaigns to direct services for individuals. Through our collaborative approach, we aim to foster change and contribute to mental health awareness within our community. By mobilizing financial resources from our various initiatives, events, and strategic partners, we seek to create positive momentum in the mental health sector and strengthen the ties between organizations dedicated to this vital cause.

The investment priorities of the discretionary mental health fund focus on concrete projects highlighting prevention, awareness, intervention, and research. To select organizations and projects, Let’s Bond has developed a reference framework that allows for a fair and equitable evaluation of all submitted applications.

The annual amount of the Fonds is determined each year. Funds are allocated to concrete projects where Let’s Bond can have a significant impact on their realization. To date, over $75,000 has been invested through the Fonds Let’s Bond.

Multipurpose room

The Foundation of the Institut universitaire en santé mentale de Montréal (FIUSMM) supports innovation and excellence in research and clinical care to ensure that individuals affected by mental illness have access to a care pathway that promotes sustainable recovery.

The Crisis Centre of the Institut universitaire en santé mentale de Montréal (IUSMM) plays a vital role for individuals experiencing acute psychological distress in the east end of Montreal. Each year, more than 500 people find refuge there 24/7, where they receive intensive psychosocial support.

The project supported by Le Fonds Let’s Bond made it possible to create a multipurpose room rich in potential uses, equipped with comfortable furniture, relaxation materials, creative tools, and decorative elements that foster a sense of safety, dignity, and well-being

Comité Jeunesse UPLIFT

Camp LIFT is an organization dedicated to the well-being and growth of young people through transformative experiences. Through structured activities and compassionate guidance, we foster self-esteem, resilience, and community engagement among the youth we support.

The UPLIFT Youth Committee is an integral part of this mission, giving young people an active role in governance and in organizing activities that have a direct impact on their community.

The UPLIFT Youth Committee, a flagship initiative of Camp LIFT, is designed to support young people who have completed high school but still need guidance during a stage of life where challenges become increasingly complex. This committee offers them a space for peer support, opportunities for community engagement, and an environment that promotes personal growth and overall well-being.

L'autre rive

L’autre Rive is a project developed for the Foundation for Students of the Centre de services scolaire de la Région-de-Sherbrooke. It targets secondary school students aged 13 to 17 who attend one of the five high schools within the school service center. In total, 7,834 students are enrolled in these institutions.

The Foundation supports initiatives such as psychological support, tutoring, sports, cultural, robotics, and entrepreneurship projects, as well as recognition galas and scholarship programs. Its actions aim to encourage young people to take care of their mental and physical health in order to complete their high school education under the best possible conditions.

Multisensory room

La Maison des 100 Limites aims to support the emotional and social rehabilitation of individuals with borderline personality disorder by developing a therapeutic community based on peer support and guided by values of compassion and respect for personal boundaries.

The project supported by Fonds Let’s Bond involves creating a multisensory room within La Maison des 100 Limites, designed as an immersive cocoon combining light, sound, touch, movement, and scent. This space will provide a controlled sensory experience, allowing each user to adjust the stimuli according to their individual needs.

Integrated treatment of Mental Health and Substance Misuse

At the Montreal General Hospital Foundation, our core mission is to empower the philanthropic community to invest in transformative, expert-led initiatives, that have a profound and lasting impact on patients’lives. We believe that true progress is achieved through collaboration. Unlike other clinics that require patients to address their addiction and mental health issues separately, such as depression, schizophrenia, or bipolar disorder, the Mental Health teams across the MUHC will operate on the principle that these conditions are fundamentally linked. They provide a comprehensive treatment model that addresses the root causes of addiction in conjunction with other mental health challenges. This integrated approach is crucial for preventing treatment failure and breaking the cycle of relapse that many patients face. In particular, three teams have been selected to launch this integrated approach to treating substance use co-occurring with psychiatric illnesses. These teams are the Inpatient Unit, the 1 Early Psychosis and Schizophrenia Spectrum Program, and the Mood and Anxiety Program
